Box Brothers was founded in 1985 by Robert Goodman in the Los Angeles Suburb of Woodland Hills, CA. With a commitment to customer service and low prices the small outlet expanded to 4 stores across the city. In 1989, Mark Frydman joined the Box Brothers team as President and expanded the business to 30 stores including a national franchising indicative.

Today Box Brothers continues to be a leader in the packing and shipping business because of it's commitments since day one: Customer service and low prices.

Robert Goodman - CEO

Robert J. Goodman came to California from New York in the early 1980's. His formal education was limited to the sixth grade. His assets were limited to the five ($500.00) hundred dollars he had in his pocket.

However, his ambition and determination quickly put him on track to become a vice president of a very large moving firm. In 1985, he left his position to start Box Brothers-- a 500 square foot retail space in Woodland Hills. He was going to sell cardboard and related supplies/services out of a retail setting--something that had not yet been done.

What makes this even more remarkable is the fact that when he made this move to open Box Brothers, he had just purchased his first home and his first son had just been born six months prior. Today, while many people are "entrepreneurs" they really did not take the risk Robert Goodman did. He put everything into the business, without any real reserve.

Today, Box Brothers is the largest independently owned box and packaging store chain in the United States. The company has been growing over 20% a year for the past seven years.

Mark Frydman - President and COO

Mark Frydman graduated from the University of Southern California in 1979 and received a juris doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1982. He joined Box Brothers as a partner and Chief Operations Officer in 1989.

Mr. Frydman, has over 15 years experience in the retail pack and ship industry. This is in Addition to his 8 years of experience in the transportation field. While schooled as an attorney, Mark now prefers to handle day to day operations of the business. During his tenure he has expanded the corporate holdings of 4 stores to over 30 across the southwest including licensing and franchising programs.
